With not much to do in Lavender Town at the moment I set off for Celadon which is right next door. Celadon is a big city with many ways to loose your money and many new items and things to pick up. I'd say its an eventful place. It's the home of the next gym leader, Erika, one of my favorite gym leaders. She specializes in grass Pokemon. Which is good news for my Charmeleon. He can turn them into ashes easily and that is exactly what I did.
After I did that I picked up an Eevee! and a need item, gambled away some of my money, spent some of my money and talked to a old guy who was peeping in on Erika's all girls Pokemon gym. It was a nice place but Lavender Town had to be taken care of.
The Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town is a slightly creepy place. It's filled with ghost Pokemon, grave stones and possessed shaman ladies. There is also the sad story about Cubone's dead mother.

Eevee is a fun and interesting Pokemon. Eevee alone is not an amazing Pokemon, but you have a choice to turn him into one of three amazing Pokemon.

With a water stone you can turn your Eevee into a Vaporeon

With a Thunder Stone you can turn you Eevee into a Jolteon. Which is what I did.

With a Fire Stone you can turn you Eevee into a Flareon.

A Little Update

A little update about my Abra.
I have taught him the move Attract. Now he will be irresistible to
female Pokemon! hehe

Also my Magikarp has evolved.

Time to cover some ground

Brock has been defeated. Misty has been defeated. Time to head to Vermilion City to take down Lt. Surge. Which is what I did with ease, oddly. Now this is a town on the water. Which is proved by the big boat at the dock. It was a nice big boat. I walked through it, defeating trainers along theway and leveled my Pokemon. At the end I faced off with my rival again who was a pushover. I think it's he who needs to train his Pokemon up a bit more. While I was in Vermilion I explored Diglett's cave a bit. The only Pokemon in there is Diglett and the occasional Dugtrio, which is the evolved form on Diglett.

After I did all I could do in Vermilion, which included staring at a big sleeping Pokemon in my way, I headed off to Rock tunnel. I finally caught a male and a female Nidoran and trained them up as I went through. Nothing too excited happened in there. Just many, many Zubat encounters. Rock tunnel dropped me off in Lavender town. A very gloomy place due to the giant Pokemon cemetery building that is the only place of importance to visit. Even the music is gloomy, but it's a great place to catch ghost Pokemon!

By the way has anyone noticed a common theme in the town names?

I made my way through Mt. Moon. It was a slightly annoying struggle but in the end it proved to be very beneficial. My next stop is Cerulean City. This city has a slight watery like feel to it. It feels like it lives in the shore of the ocean or a harbor of some sort, but it doesn't. The wateryness most likely comes from the Gym Leader, Misty. Her gym is a giant swimming pool and all of her Pokemon are water types, like Staryu and Starmie. This is bad news for me since my strongest Pokemon, Charmeleon, is a fire type and fire is weak against water. It took me a few attempts to defeat her.

While I was in this watery city I came across my rival, Nick. He is still a jerk. Luckily, I took him down in one try. He throws all his strongest out first. That was his downfall. After I struggled to defeat his two best Pokemon I was able to completely destroy his last two!

Other things I did while in Cerulean was meet up with the Pokemaniac Bill. He made the Pokemon storage system where I store all my Pokemon that I am not using. I also caught myself an Oddish, which I plan to kick serious butt with, and an Abra who I plan to do the same.

I would also like to add that my Magikarp is only a few levels away from evolving.

Mt. Moon and a black market Magikarp

I have journeyed through Mt. Moon. I did what everyone does there. Caught a Jigglepuff, caught a Clefairy, collected some moon stones, battled trainers, began to not like Zubats and the many many random wild Pokemon battles. Nothing too important. The most important thing I did was before I entered the mountain. I bought myself a black market Magikarp. You may laugh now but this little fish will one day be a Gyarados. Then who'll be laughing? It will be totally worth the Pokémon Dollar500!

Magikarp is a very useless Pokemon. His only move is splash attack, which does absolutely nothing. At level 15 he learns to tackle but even then he is not much use. Once he hits level 20 though he evolves into Gyarados who is a Pokemon you do not want to mess with.

As I went through Viridian Forest I caught myself a Weedle and a Caterpie. Evolved them into Kakuna and Metapod and had many fun Kakuna vs. Kakuna, Metapod vs. Metapod and Kakuna vs. Metapod battles. I got to a point where I started to enjoy them. In the middle of all that hardening I came across a Pikachu and of course I caught it! I can't be a Pokemon Master without a Pikachu!
I eventually made it to Pewter City. There I challenged the gym leader, Brock, and took down his Geodude with a little Kakuna, Metapod tag-teaming. Harden can be a very powerful move. When used with the poisoning effect of Kakuna's poison sting :) After I bored Geodude to death I took out his Onyx with my Mankey that I caught before I hit the forest. Not a bad battle.
Now its off to Mount Moon to catch me some Jigglypuff!!!

For the people who are not very familiar with the world of Pokemon I would like to inform you about the the Pokemon Metapod and Kakuna. Metapod and Kakuna are both evolved forms of Caterpie and Weedle, most Pokemon evolve into new forms as they gain levels. Both Catepie and Weedle are bug like Pokemon and they both evolve into the cocoon like Pokemon, Metapod and Kakuna. Unfortunatly since they are both cocoons they cannot do much except harden their outer shell. Which, in a battle, does no damage whatsoever. Luckily, I caught them when they were in their first stage, Caterpie and Weedle, so they already knew an attack move. So I had a slight advantage during these Harden battles, but it was still long and boring.

I have started out on my journey!

Name has been named.
Gender has been picked. (A girl in a snazzy white hat)
Rival has been named. (Named after my rival of course. hehe)
And first Pokémon has been chosen. Charmander! That little turtle just didn't cut it.
Which is who my rival picked and he thinks his little blue turtle looks tougher then my fire lizard! ha! Just to let you know, my fire lizard grows up to be a fire dragon.
After I beat him in our first and horribly boring battle, he runs off. Seriously, this battle consisted of two moves. Tackle and scratch.

My journey has now officially started. After a little game of mailman I set off and am finally able to catch Pokémon!
