Time to cover some ground

Brock has been defeated. Misty has been defeated. Time to head to Vermilion City to take down Lt. Surge. Which is what I did with ease, oddly. Now this is a town on the water. Which is proved by the big boat at the dock. It was a nice big boat. I walked through it, defeating trainers along theway and leveled my Pokemon. At the end I faced off with my rival again who was a pushover. I think it's he who needs to train his Pokemon up a bit more. While I was in Vermilion I explored Diglett's cave a bit. The only Pokemon in there is Diglett and the occasional Dugtrio, which is the evolved form on Diglett.

After I did all I could do in Vermilion, which included staring at a big sleeping Pokemon in my way, I headed off to Rock tunnel. I finally caught a male and a female Nidoran and trained them up as I went through. Nothing too excited happened in there. Just many, many Zubat encounters. Rock tunnel dropped me off in Lavender town. A very gloomy place due to the giant Pokemon cemetery building that is the only place of importance to visit. Even the music is gloomy, but it's a great place to catch ghost Pokemon!

By the way has anyone noticed a common theme in the town names?
