I have journeyed through Mt. Moon. I did what everyone does there. Caught a Jigglepuff, caught a Clefairy, collected some moon stones, battled trainers, began to not like Zubats and the many many random wild Pokemon battles. Nothing too important. The most important thing I did was before I entered the mountain. I bought myself a black market Magikarp. You may laugh now but this little fish will one day be a Gyarados. Then who'll be laughing? It will be totally worth the 
500! Magikarp is a very useless Pokemon. His only move is splash attack, which does absolutely nothing. At level 15 he learns to tackle but even then he is not much use. Once he hits level 20 though he evolves into Gyarados who is a Pokemon you do not want to mess with.
